I heard that I could use my aquarium water to water my plants?

Question:I'd like to use the water to water my plants, but my aquarium water is pretty messy right now. Will it smell? Would it help fertilize the plants? Seriously.

Answers:
I do that and the fishy smell doesnt last after the water soaks down, as long as you dont over water. My plants seem to love it.

Yes to both.

The fishy feces will fertilise your plants...
The fishy feces will smell-up your house.

The problem is that the "messy" water has more than just fish feces in it. It also includes algae, bacteria, etc. All will cause a distinctly "fishy" aroma.
