Insect repellent..?

Question:What is best to repel Deer flies. My dog and I are bit up from these horrible little creatures. Mosquito spray does not work.

Answers:
My mother always told me that putting a dryer sheet in your pocket will make any insect go away. Never tried it, but it's worth a shot!
