Gosh, isn't gardening EXHAUSTING WORK?!?!?
Question:IN order to prepare my finances to get a loan paid for AHEAD of time for an institute I shall be attending in August, I've taken up a job at a HUGE nursery. ANd yes it is soooooo much WORK daily!! Funny, coz even though it completely wipes me out at the end of the day, I look forward to it everyday.
Do you find it exhausting as well?
Answers:
Yes but it is so rewarding. My mom transformed our big backyard into a very pretty, semi-formal English garden with a koi pond, a few topiaries, a tiny central court-yard, a dry creek-bed made of blue Mexican pebbles that runs under a foot bridge, an arbor covered with vines, and stamped-concrete paths throughout. She is out there everyday trimming, watering and weeding. But she truly enjoys it. She says that she is leaving her personal signature upon this earth. Too, she does it for our viewing pleasure because it's, essentially, a "secret garden" since very few people even know it's there. And yes, it can definitely become addictive. I won't see much of Mom until winter sets in.
Exhausting and Exhilarating
It is exhausting, but so very rewarding when all the bushes and flowers bloom and your yard looks like a fairy tale garden. I love the exhaustion because I know I've done a beautiful thing.=)
I hope your job makes you feel the same!
YES BUT THE RESULTS ARE SUPER WAIT AND YOU WILL SEE HAPPY GARDENING
Yes it is exhausting but also very theraputic and relaxing also.
When you are troubled there is nothing like working in your yard/garden to give you time to think about what is troubling you or in some cases to help you cool down if you have a temper...lol..as is my case.
Normally after working outside and thinking about what is bugging me I am better able to discuss my issues with my hubby in a calm manner than if I didn't go outside to work.
We have 2 acres and I do 90% of the work so I have what you would call plenty of theraputic/calming time.
Enjoy it because depending on where you live come winter time you will miss being outdoors more than you ever thought you would.
I love it and would not trade it for anything in this world.
There is nothing more rewarding than standing back after working outdoors and say that is my hard work waiting to be enjoyed by people passing by. I get compliments on mine all the time even though I don't have all the time I actually need to get it the way I want it to look.
As far as I am concerned there is nothing more rewarding or prettier than a huge yard (ours is 2 acres) with flower beds all over.
After being here 3 yrs I have done alot and still have tons in my head of what I want to do. I find it is ongoing even in the winter when all you can think about it getting back out and seeing what else I can come up with.
Happy Gardening!!!!!
In my book gardening is second only to sex as being the best and most enjoyable workout. Maybe it ought to be first, though. After all, we gardeners bust our butts to create living beauty. Our very tangible results can be shared at a family-friendly level, and can be appreciated as either a complete effect or a work-in-progress. Plus, a lovingly maintained garden can be cherished for generations. Many marriages don't even last that long. ;oD
Two green thumbs up for the exhaustion that is gardening!
Exhausting, exhilarating ... yes it is! Look at the benefits though ... you don't need a prescription drug to help you sleep!
I hope that you will share your knowledge with others!!
yes gardening can be exhausting work but it's a good exercise medium - bending, twisting , lifting and walking to name a few exercises you do without thinking when you garden.
Warning gardening can be addictive - but what a good addition.
It gets you out of the house and into the fresh air. It's full of benefits so keep it up and enjoy.
