When do you know its time to pick strawberries?


Question:i have these in my garden and always seem to be picking them to early or too late.

I have some in my garden but in a strawberry tub. I pick them when they are in the very pink stage with their stalks on. They will carry on ripening if left in a container on a sunny window ledge. You can then transfer them into the fridge when ripe. This allows you to collect a fair few, enough for a desert! To keep birds from pecking at them use a fine net over the plant. Good Luck.
When they're red.
you will notice in colour that they will not have any white or green bits on them and will be pure red and jucy. this is the best time to pick them
