Why are my zucchini wilting?

Question:The zucchini plant is still healthy, but the actual zucchini vegetables have wilted from the ends, turning yellow and rotting out basically. What can I do to help stop/prevent this!! Its my first year of gardening!

Answers:
I will be curious to see what anyone else says. I've had that happen, but not every one. Each year I have one or two zucchini & yellow squashes just poop out before it finishes growing. Others will come in just fine so I don't think the plant is sick. It's just some of the 'fruit' doesn't make it to maturity.
