My house is becoming infested with insects ..?
Question:hi , i live with my son and we are clean people and our neighborhood is good . so why are we having all these pests in our house . i will list all of them that i have seen just in the last month : cockroaches , black ants , red ants , feas , ticks , atleast 4 different kinds of spiders , we have wasps right outside our door , bees right outside , snails and slugs ( i have found a few in my house ) and a few different kinds of beetles , oh , also i saw a snake in the back yard a few weeks ago , ( i think i was a gardener ) and i have seen two (either rats or mice ) in my house . im beginning to think this is a problem . is this normal to have all these pests in your house . and believe me there are alot of them ( especially the ants and cockroches ) .

if your house is suffering from so many different insects i think it's time to call a pest controller
he should be able to bring the house to acceptable levels then try some of the suggestions you get here as many of them will work but won't control a major infestation
the pest controller (PCO) should also report to you why you are inflicted with this problem
just a few reasons you get problems are
poor sub-floor drainage & or ventilation
avability of food and water
bring food home in boxes
second furniture (esp fridges and frezers)
well if u guys r clean the there is some reason why u have bugs in ur house unless it is hot because bugs go inside when it is really hot,
now the bugs out side are normal because they will come on ur pourch because we have the same problem now the flees are probably from a dog or animal or someone u know bug bomb ur house and then c wat happends now the other bugs just find some kind of trap for the
I think it has alot to do with the area you live. Not that its not a good area but I had some of the same problems. If you own a home then Id treat it. Live in an apartment call manager and complain. See we lived in a bigger home (renting) and it was kinda in the country setting and we had it all. Maybe there is some entry point somewhere hidden around your house. There has to be a way they are gettin in. Our problem was in the basement, somehow they were gettin in through the vents. A six foot black snake crawled trough our cold air return one day...talk about freakin out. And mice and another smaller snake and BUGS! We are clean people but it was an old house not very pest proof obviosly, so this may the same problem we had. If you dont have the money to have it proffesionally treated try gettin some stuff at Home Depot they have great stuff for this problem...Good luck.
did you say incest? if unbarable evaquate imetiately,if not get a couple of small iguanas they'll fatten up on the insects then you could eat them, they are delicous yummy ,don't forget to invite me over mmmm iguanapelluzza.
Try this for your ants, sprinkle cinnimon on outside of house and at the base of your house all the way around it. ROACH EXTERMINATOR: Mix the following:one pound of Borax,
60 oz. of Powdered sugar, one oz. of cocoa powder and two oz.of sodium fluoride. Mix well and sprinkle around places pests are known to frequent. Keep out of reach of children! This might help with other bugs as well. Simple moth balls are great for snakes, scatter them all aroung perimeter of yard and tobe extra safe also around the base of your house. For your beetles, they have small bags at Lowe's or other that attract them but they can't get back out. You can also as a last resort catch all the bugs you can and save them until you can puree them in a blender then strain them into a cheese cloth and put in spray bottle and spray area's that are infected. I think the spiders are coming in for the other bugs so if you get rid of them they should also disappear, Fix all cracks and openings in your house and this will help also.
I would get a cat and do it now. My daughters cat eats any thing that moves or flys.
