Well if you lost the key to your heart that would explain why they are *bloody* keys :-)
I imagine you checked the doors (front and garage) to see if you left them dangling in there. Next check the first place you would have dropped them and around that area when you came in - then fan out from there and don't forget your pockets etc.
Of coarse you know they will be in the last place you will think of looking (so look there first hehehe).

Try the big flower pot next to the front door.
Look in the most obvious places. Usually in the toilet because most people have a wee before they go out, or with your sunglasses, on the microwave, might have fallen in the side of the settee where you sat, next to your bed, in the bathroom where you brushed your teeth or in the kitchen next to the kettle as a last resort check the fridge i have done that, hope you have found them already :))))
Seriously, stop looking for them and like magic they will simply re-appear..
try the freezer, I found mine in there once!
