How to get started.?

Question:My family owns some land with a small rugged barn on it. My family doesnt use it at all. My grandpa let's my neighbours keep their horses on land & use the barn.
I have nothing to do this summer, and I would really like to get a small farm going. Im only 15, so thats going to be difficult. But I really want to rebuild or fix-up that old barn. Its sooo small, its more like three stables and a roof then a barn.lol
My grandma said she would like to have a farm aswell, but we just dont the time or money to put into it.

How would I go about fixing up the barn?

thanks

Answers:
Patch any leaks in the roof
make sure that the upright timbers are sound and properly attached
make sure any flooring and supports for a loft are sound and properly attached
make sure the wallboards are sound and properly attached
patch any holes in the walls
patch holes in the door(s)
(probably) rehang the door(s) with new hinges
paint

be careful when working on the roof as a fall can break bones
ditto when working in the loft
don't forget to sweep/shovel/muck out the barn floor and trench (if present).
save all the soiled straw and horse/cattle manure in a pile somewhere out of site. This is the basis for your fertilizer when you plow for next year's garden this fall.
