I'd try to trap it and relocate it. Get a big bucket and put mouse food into the bottom of it. Build a staircase, with books or blocks or something up to the top on the outside of the bucket. The little critter will most likely smell the food, climb up to the top of the bucket and fall in. Then when it does, you can take the bucket outside and let it go.
Or you can spend big bucks to get an exterminator out to catch it for you.
