Pink Water?
Question:I just recently moved to a new town and used the water with out even thinking about possibly checking it. I mean who does. But now i'm thinking it should be checked I had left a white tupperware bowl with water it on the kitchen counter after eating a bowl of popcorn. The next morning the bowl was pink. I thought maybe I put in my dish soap but didnot. the other day I put water in the bird bath outside and now the bird is pink. The town says the water is fine? Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?
Answers:
Could be chemicals that the city uses to treat the water with, or something to do with your pipes. Local health Dept. will usually test water for a fee of around $15.00. They have a sterile kit to put the water in and return to them.Worth the cash for the peace of mind if you ask me!
I would get it checked out. The bowl of popcorn is less worrysome if it were a red bowl but the bird bath.. that's weird, I would get it checked out.
Stop taking the tablets and it wall all be alright..
Not that I want to alarm you or anything but do you live near an army base?
Check it out

It's more than likely minerals or rust in the water. If your are indeed receiving water from a town or city source instead of a private well on your own property, the water is tested every three months by state law and levels such as minerals/sediment and such must fall into certain percentages. Go to your town or city hall building and ask for a copy of the latest water testing. It's your right as a taxpayer and citizen of the town you live in.
