How can I stop the tiles in my pool from being so slippery?
Question:We recently put in a swimming pool, and there are tiles on the edges of the steps. The problem is they are extremely slippery and dangerous. How can we make them safer, without removing them or having to empty the pool?

I agree with the person re: the algea and if that doesn't seem to work then you need to think about applying something to the tiles to keep them from being so slippery. I would suggest something as simple as nonskid items that you would put on your tub or you could choose to apply a type of paint that has a sandy texture to grip with.
you dont have options for that, replace it with proper tile for pool edges.
or, if you really dont want to replace it, just have a first aid kit within reach or an ambulance
good luck
try not to make so many ways when you jump it to the pool. i have one and i've never had that problem, or if youcan't resist mop the tiles with a dry mop .
GOOD LUCK !!
If the tiles are slippery, you have an algae problem or the wrong type of tile was installed. Scrub the tiles with a pool brush or a broom to remove any algae. They should be less slippery when you're done. Then brush the steps at least once a week and treat the pool with an algae preventer weekly. If it doesn't work you'll have to get new tiles installed.
