I live in Central Floria where we have a lot of sandspurs (evil plant) and our yards are full of fleas.?

Question:I was told that Lime dust will get rid of both. Does anyone know about either one or both? Does anyone have any other ideas, that work, other than the "Bug Man"

I know that Sevin Dust will kill the fleas (and any other bugs), but it's made to not kill plants...so maybe it will help with the bug problem.
