How do I make these spiders go AWAY!!???
Question:I have never seen so many spiders in a place! I am getting so frustrated. There are spiders everywhere it seems. Where I live, there are trees behind me and close to woods and stuff, is that causing them?? How do I safely make them get out of my house??
Answers:
Well, you could always get a frog...but really, I live with woods around me (very country) and I very seldom get even one spider in the house so it has nothing to do with that. I would guess that you had a mommy spider and those are all the babies growing up and they can't figure out how to get out. I don't like killing spiders but unless you move them one at a time outside you just might have to.
Good luck.
call exterminators or something i dont know...
i hate spiders...they scare me
unfortunatley if you live next to the woods you could exterminate as many as you like, but theyll just keep coming, because wwhere there coming from is the woods at the back of you. its one of minuses of living somewhere rural
I wouldn't use pesticides because those are dangerous. Call an exterminator
I have more trouble with ants than anything else (but hardly ever any trouble with spiders).
Once I brought a potted plant in from outside (in the evening) and put it on my dining room table. When I came home from work the next afternoon, I saw what appeared to be a small, circus tent covering the table with the plant acting as the 'tall center pole' holding the 'tent' up. Turns out that a spider nest (full of eggs) was in the plant, hatched, and the youngsters spun a giant web which covered the entire table. As I approached it, I could see that it was teeming with THOUSANDS of little spiders each the size of this letter 'o'.
Rarely do spiders build living quarters where there's no food source, so maybe the spiders you see have come from a recently hatched nest. Maybe a nest of eggs could have been laid in a basement crawlspace, area underneath a porch, or some similar non-lived in covered space.
Other than lady bugs, spiders are the most beneficial little critters to have around, as they catch flies and other pesky flying things. I'm not a big fan of spiders either, but I always just pick them up and put them outside...never kill them.
