Never unless it's brand new! i mean like barely even looks and if you have a poster one make sure that it's still in good condition and in there!(MAGEZINES)
I have just finished our yard sale so I can tell you from experience: Cookbooks (one of the first things to go - fly off the table!). Rest of the books - forget it!! I finally gave the books away for free just so I wouldn't have to take them back to the house.
if it was a good book...I'd buy it. I don't really know who would want to buy old magazines, but if you can get rid of them...I have tons you can have!

I think the books would sell as long as they are in good condition and there is no stains or writings on the pages. Amazon.com (or Borders.com) sells used books for a very low price. Somtimes .99 to a few dollars depending on how old the book is but the condition is always perfect. I wouldn't mind at all buying used books if it is still in readable condition.
I suppose it depends on the person and how into the content of books they really are :)

It depends on the magazines & books. If you have National Geographic magazines, or some rather expensive magazines, or some popular books, then yes, they'll sell.
I'd be more likely to buy magazines, if they appealed to me. If the price is right, someone will buy them.
Give the magazines away as a 'Freebie'...also any other stuff that you really just want to get out of the way.
Depending on all the variables 2 for a buck...or ten for $8.00 to encourage ppl to purchase more than one...thus getting rid of them!
