What are a couple easy home improvements that will increase the value on my home?

Question:thanks

Answers:
Kitchen upgrades increase the value of the home the most--cabinets, countertops, appliances.

Next comes bathrooms--new fixtures.

You could also upgrade the curb appeal by painting, landscaping, etc. If you have a deck, restain it. Change the light fixtures in the home.

Fresh paint and/or carpet won't increase the value, but will increase the marketability.

paint.
Kitchens and bathrooms seem to be important features for house hunters. You can paint, put up new curtains, consider putting in a spa. Good luck!
A fresh coat of paint, and wooden plates for electrical outlets.

Paint and curb appeal. Paint makes everything look new and clean. Curb appeal is whatever a person sees when they first pull up to your house. Do it yourself. Go get in the car, drive around the block, and then pull in to your drive. Stop, look at your house. If it doesn't look great, and you're not good at envisioning possibilities, call a landscaper to get some ideas. Even a Realtor can tell you what helps with curb appeal. Good luck.
Easy and cheap. Curb appeal is the most overlooked and neglected. First impressions are over 70% of what is perceived when first seeing a home. This also is true of having your home appraised. Mow the grass, trim the hedges, pick up toys in th yard ect. Wash the outside of your home, plant a few flowers for color and welcome appeal. Clean inside of home, remove and/or rearrange furnature to make the home appear larger. Paint rooms with neutral and warm colors, or just paint trim work to enhance the room and it's present color. And with out remodling do all you can to brighten and enhance your ketchen and bathroom. These two rooms always have the greatest effect on home value.
Outside first. Put in shrubs, flowers, clean up and paint.
Inside paint, new floor (vinyl tile is cheap) clean carpeting, new switch plates, white is nice.
Faucets, light fixtures etc. These are all very inexpensive things you can do.
good luck

I agree with everyone about paint and landscaping and cleaning. You will never make money on remodeling.
