Is this from an animal, insect or something else?

Question:This week when i've gone out to water my gardens, i've noticed these wierd piles of something. The first day it was just one, yesterday and today i;ve found two each day. They are in different places. It is yellow in color (very light) and almost looks like sand, but its stuck together a bit more. Is an animal leaving this? Is is something I should worry about -- dangerous to my plants?

Answers:
Very hard to say without a picture. How large are the piles? Are they in round bits like rabbit droppings? Worms will leave piles, but they usually look like piles of dirt, not sand. Again, if you had a picture, I could give you a better idea.
