Using fan only in the air conditioner is energy efficient?

Question:Using fan only in the air conditioner is energy efficient?

Answers:
Ignore the first answer. 99.99% of houses do NOT use outside air, and even if they did, it's not going to affect the efficiency on the unit.

Running the fan only, is like running ANY fan. Alone, it MIGHT cost you a few bucks a month. It's when u fire up the AC or the Heat that things start getting expensive.

Rather than running the fan only feature tho, I'd open some windows and turn on the ceiling fans or floor fans if u got them..

lol. its just a fan. does it take in outside air? if it does, u will be fine.
Of course. That is a small part of the device. You are not using the condenser
In the summer I will keep the fan setting on. It keeps the air circulating even without windows open and the central air unit does not turn on as often. The fan uses much less electric than the central air unit. I also check and replace/clean the filter about every two weeks.
