Why is my down comforter shedding feather peices?

Question:I have a down comforter that just recently started shedding small peices of feather. These feathers are everywhere! How can I stop them from leaving the comforter-without throwing it away.

Answers:
You probably have a small hole somewhere in the quilt. Although my feather pillows do shed some. Look for a hole and either sew it closed or patch it with a patch. If that doesn't work to your satisfaction, try buying a duvet cover and put your comforter inside it. You can get duvet covers at bed bath and beyond or department stores.
