I have a window air-conditioner. Is it more power-efficient to run it on Low Cool continuously?

Question:Is it more power-efficient to let the thermostat take over every 15-20 minutes?

Answers:
anytime something is on continously it will use more power. use the thermostat and let your electric bill take a break occassionally. even if it is only for 10-20 minutes at a time. through the course of the day that is a couple of hours saved.

Window units are not very efficient period. With these inefficient units you should try to keep them off as much as possible.
