Can someone tell me how to get rid of hedgehogs?
Question:there is a family of them in my garden and they keep pooing all over the patio!! arrrgh!
Answers:
I have a family of Hedgehogs who have burrowed under my kitchen and it was becoming a real problem for us with my pets and somehow they have gotten into our walls.
I went to a Granary & Mill supply store and I was not the only one who was there to ask the same thing I wanted to know. I wanted to get rid of them and not injure or kill them.
It sounded nasty to me but I bought what they said gets them to move out of that area. It is Coyete urine and you put it on a rag and then put the rag into their hole and just leave it there.
Make sure to wear rubber gloves and maybe some kind of mask as the urine is the most horrible smell. So, I bought a bottle of the stuff and did what I was told to do and it got rid of them and they moved to the very back of my yard which has high brush and trees.
so, they got a nicer home and I got them off of my back patio, out of my walls and under my kitchen. They had burrowed 6 giant holes under my kitchen. Now we all live in peace and I think they have a nicer place to live.
Oh dear in the UK you are not allowed to disturb hedgehogs you must let them remain in your garden
find someone that thinks they are cute and maybe they will come and take them away for you. i love hedgehogs so i would!
Why would you want to get rid of them? They eat all the slugs and snails in your garden. I'd rather have hedgehog poop than snail trails and chewed up plants.
you dont get rid of them they're protected and please dont make them cross the motorway.
Replace your hedge with a chain fence? Put a barrier round your patio. Don't think they can climb more than 6in.
Why? they are so cute!!
You don't get rid of them, they're protected by law and anyway they're cute and you're lucky to have them.
Hedghogs are great for your garden, they keep distructive insects and slugs away by eating them, leaving your garden in good condition. You must be at one with the hedgehog.
No No they are possibly the best thing you can have in your garden they love to eat the slugs and snails you love to HATE.
get a cat
because any animal that is smaller in size to the cat
wont ever go near your garden again
if you do
