How do I get rid of giant cockroaches? Bombs and sprays haven't worked?
Question:They were in our 'new ' retirement unit when we moved in. Can't run away, 'they' keep your money as a donation.
Cockroaches are 3inches long with wings and run round day and night in spite of baits everywhere.

This sounds serious.
Use diatomaceous earth (from the garden center) and or boric acid powder. Both are harmless to humans. The boric acid is a white powder that really works. Put it in all their dark hiding places. Especially under sinks. The diatomaceous earth is skeletal remains of diatoms--tiny sea creatures. It supposedly cuts and wounds their exoskeleton. Sprinkle it around where they will have to walk over it. Or be mean and set out some food with the powder all around it. That'll teach 'em.

Did you call pest control or something?
Is your house dirty? maybe your house needs a good cleaning.
I think without professional help once they are in they are in. Sounds like they are to large at this point but feel you need professional help!?
Those are wood roaches AKA waterbugs. They live naturally outside and are attracted to light. So they really like to come close to your house during the night. They don't eat human food , they eat compost. When they get in they usually die within 24 hours. I think I remember that the best bet is sealing up all the crack around doors. I don't know if regular pesticides work on those critters. Good luck.
I'm sure you will find your not the only one with the cockroach problem. Until everyone around you does something about them you will not be able to get rib of them for good.

There is a product but I can't remember its name. The roaches eat it and go back to the nest and die; other roaches cannibilize the ones that died and they die. It doesn't take long until the whole nest is wiped out. I believe it is called "Combat."Combat
