My yellow squash & zucchini plants are overtaking my garden. Can I cut back the leaves?

Question:

Answers:
Yes! Chose the older outer leaves and cut away. The are probably going to start decomposing anyway and encourage leaf blight and mould. Curcubits like yours will produce most of their fruit in the centre of the plant in any case. Good luck.

sure, why not?
no probably not I believe that it would be a better to thin your plants. Both squash and zucchini bear a lot of vegetables per vine
no but be sure to look close for small flowers check the whole vine so you will know what they are like
do not cut back, that is the nature of the plant
Hack away at them. Keep them in their own area.
