What kind of bugs are in my house?
Question:I have the gnat looking bugs that are congregating inside my house in front of the door leading to my backyard. There are so many of them. I don't know if they are gnats.cuz they look bigger than gnats. But they are black and have white/clear looking wings and they kinda hop around like fleas but are bigger than fleas. Anybody have any suggestions as to the name of these irritating critters?

These flies, if they have v shaped wings and look kind of fuzzy are probably drain flies. They typically breed in floor drains or in any moist decayin organic matter. the only way to get rid of them is to find and remove their breeding source. Inspect any standing water or floor drains in or around the property. floor drains should be brushed clean and flushed with water daily for 7-10 days.

to elaborate on Chris E's response, they probably are as he said. They are known as Fungus Gnats (Family Sciaridae).
