Why do people talk to plants?
Question:i have never found one that could talk back.
no matter how stoned i get.
Answers:
Some people think that it "helps them grow," when it actually only makes you look like a total t - w - a - t.
same reason some ppl talk to their pets...dogs, cats, fish..etc

they're lonely. very, very lonely. or they're training for having kids or old people around.

This is a hard one for a vegetarian. I eat plants, so that makes me a murderer.
Because they crazy! If I see someone talking to a plant, I cross over to the other side of the street in the hood.

I don't talk to plants but have discovered that they have some kind of feeling.
I have a friend who took care of her house plants very well but the plants died very quickly when there was a depressed member of the household. When that person came out of the depression, the plants grew stronger with very little care.
Its comforting and brings you closer to the growing process. There is also a old wife tale that it will help them grow (something about breathing out carbon dioxide etc). I always talk to my veg and it always tastes nice and grows big.
lol. Well apparently it helps them to grow and lots of people do it. Prince Charles admitted he does it so it must work then!

See if you can find a book called The Secret Life of Plants. It gives a great deal of information about plants and how they relate to us; quite extraordinary stuff that should revolutionise how we see plants. They are not inert matter but have a form of consciousness quite unlike ours.
Check out the Mythbusters take on this on the Discovery Channel. They discovered that this along with any form of Music actually facilitates and helps Plant growth!

Plants need CO2 for photosynthesis process.. the breath from us contains that... so some people reckons, talking to plants make them grow better.
