Thinking of getting a water bed?

Question:i was thinking of getting a water bed i just cant get a matteress soft enough whats it like to sleep on one and does anyone know about the up keep of one ?

I've had a waterbed for over 13 years and I still like it. Mine is semi-waveless. There is waveless, semi-waveless and full wave so check out the differences. I like the fact that it has a heater so in the winter, I get into a warm bed. It is soft and comfy. Here's a hint when you fill it. If it's too full you'll roll to the outside and if it's not full enough you'll roll to the middle. There's not much upkeep. Every now and then you need to add conditioner.

I slept on a waterbed in my friends house in America. It was surprisingly comfortable yet supportive. It was great to be able to lie on your side without waking up with a dead arm!

I remember it was quite hard to get the bottom sheet to stay in place when I was trying to make the bed. Apart from that, I dont really know much about the upkeep of them but there must be some reason why they never really caught on here.

Good luck with your decision.
don't

get a temperpedic instead..

unless you just have to have a water bed.

although i recommmend sleeping on one a few nights to test it out and see if you can handle it.
brilliant to sleep on, stayed in a hotel with one in. very comfortable, just cant sleep to near the edges! i seemed to fall off!

not to sure about up keep tho, cant be that much tho, loads of people have them(in America).
bad for relationships...me and the wife just drifted apart!!
no seriously I've heard they are really comfortable.
Test a few before buying one. You can find them in different degrees of movement (sloshing). I had a 90 % motionless for 10 years. They have baffles in the mattress that control the movement. Loved it but after having to move it twice, I went back to conventional. Maintenance isn't much. I added a bottle of algae preventer each year.
a water bed isnt comfy. believe me you will finds it worse than a matress. you want to get one of those foam matress' that your body sinks into, they are very good
Before you even think of buying a water bed check that your floor construction will carry the weight, or you and your bed could end up in the Lounge/ Kitchen whatever.
