Ants!!!!?

Question:What is the best way to get ants out and keep them out of the house? Without making my house smell like poisons

Answers:
Ants don't care for mint or citrus, cloves or bay leaves, so think orange peel, peppermint tea, lemon juice, ground cloves, etc. If you can plant mint around the foundations of your home, you may deter them from entering. Vinegar has the same acid as citrus, so use it to clean with and ants won't feel welcome. (It probably erases or overpowers the odor trail other ants have left for them to follow.)

Clean bench tops and cupboards down really well, and then wipe down with a clean damp cloth that has a few drops of essential peppermint oil on it, you may need to apply a few drops of oil a couple of times.

Ants hate the smell of it and it is also environmentally friendly, and safe for humans and children, and no residue powders etc to clean up. And the big bonus is that the room smells fresh and minty. I also want to add that you can put the oil on a cotton ball after cleaning and put in the areas you have ants and that should help too...replace once the smell is gone.

I hope this was helpful,Good Luck! :)

Vinegar.i've used this when i ran out of the ant killer thing
Tough question. One way it to attack the hill. Find it by following the ants or trails if need be. A chemical assault outside should not affect the house.
Grant's Ant Stakes work really well. No smell, super contained so they're not a big danger for kids, pets, etc. At first you will see more ants because they are attracted to the goo inside, but then they take it back to their nest and it kills them a few hours later. Bonus: no trail of dead ants in your house.
Get borate powder. This is a naturally-occurring mineral in the form of a fine, white powder that is non-toxic to humans and pets but will kill a very wide range of insects, including ants, termites, and cockroaches. It's totally odorless and is not a chemical poison, so it does not kill immediately, but it does kill. After a week or two your ants will be gone.
Buy some Avon Skin so Soft, there are mineral oils in it and the ants won't cross it. Put some on a towel and just wipe it on your door step, and around it and they won't come in.
i said this to another person. VINAGAR ants hate it and it smells but it not poison. spray it where the ants come in and also ant hills. it dosent kill all of them but the ones who dont die go away it burns them and they HATE the smell. i use to do that and now im ant free!
You could sprinkle salt around the perimeter of your house or just where you dont want them. They'll scurry in a hurry. Also you can use fresh lemon peels. You can also sprinkle corn meal around your house. The ants will eat it and it will expand in their stomach and it will kill them off.
Ants: You may be able to stop a troop of ants from marching into your house if you can identify their points of entry and wipe areas with undiluted VINEGAR. Spray vinegar on thresholds, near sinks, or near appliances where the ants are gathering
Get an Anteater ;)
Ants will come in anywhere. I recently heard to place citrus oil, cinnamon or cayenne pepper around the perimeter of your home. Ants will not cross, of course you will have to reapply after rain.
