For those of you that know sheets - what are the softest sheets you've ever had?

Question:I'm looking for ones with a high thread count but ones less than $200. I've gone to bed bath & beyond & even saw bamboo twill - anyone have the inside scoop on those?

FIND PERCALE! They are the most comfortable and stay 'cool' Hard to find anymore...

Best sheets I have ever slept on are Beech sheets. They're soft to begin with and soften up even more once you wash them a few times.
For me, I love either flannel or the t-shirt material ones. They are soft and comfortable.
The softest ever are the ones that were bought back in the fifties by my Grandmother and handed down to me. They don't make sheets like that anymore. Even the high thread count ones are crappy and wrinkle easily.
1000 thread count egyptian cotton sheet set on smart bargains website. All of my sheets are from there and they are great.
