Anyone have a Garden Party or attend one where?
Question:everyone brought at least one plant to share?
Answers:
I've heard of these but never attended one (never been invited, really). They sound like a great way to share plants providing the people who do come are as avid as you are in their plants and in their sharing.
nope - but sounds like a neat idea
I went to a garden party to reminisce with my old friends.
A chance to share old memories and play our old songs again
When I got to the garden party, they all knew my name,
But no one recognized me..., I didn't look the same.
But it's..., all right now. I learned my lesson well.
You see you.., can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself.
nope, can't say that I have. Sounds like a good idea, however remember that you all would be sharing each others' garden bugs, so remember to spray.
Like, yeah man...we used to...hello...the 60's were COOL...Dave, Dave's not here...what type of plant you got.
I haven't been to one but, I would love to go to one. Maybe I'll throw my own.it sounds like fun.
Thank you for the idea. : )
I went to a party given by some friends who had just bought a new home. We were told that if we wished to bring a gift, they would love small potted herbs, as they planned an herb garden. We were urged to look for unusual varieties. Whatever herb you brought you were supposed to add a list of uses for it. It was great fun and we all learned from each other about the many ways herbs were used. One lady brought several small pots of herbs that made lovely sachets when cut and dried.
At another party guests brought tiny house plants they had started from their own mother plants. The plan was to bring several "starts" and trade with other guests. I came home with three new plants that are now growing happily in my own home. A very nice party idea and often the men are as happy to share their special plants as the women.
I belong to a garden club and we do just that each month. It is loads of fun. if you dint know one start one.
we get together on pot luck and bring plants and we all share and exchange. sometimes we have a gust speaker it is a blast for us gardeners.
