Do you need a solicitor when selling a house and not buying another one?
Question:
Answers:
The buyers solicitor will inevitably request a number of pre-contract enquiries and these could cover a multitude of different property matters.
Your solicitor will issue a contract and liaise with your mortgage company if you redeem a loan.
Can you do that? If you have any doubts get professional assistance.
yes you do.
havent a clue seeing as ive never moved, only being 18, but im sure if u get in touch with 1 they they tell u, even the state agence could probs tell u. x
you can do it yourself but i dont advise it
When you sell a house all forms and correspondence are sent to your solicitor. If you didn't have a solicitor then all this documentation would be sent to you. Are you up to the challenge. You will be sent an "Enquiries Before Contract" form asking in depth questions about your house.
If I was in your position I would give it a go, but if you get stuck then get yourself a solicitor.
You don't specifically need a solicitor when buying OR selling. You can do it yourself, but you'll need to be confident you can see it through. I would recommend you use a conveyancer, they only deal with property conveyancing and are more likely to know their job, the buying and selling of property, inside out. In my experience they'll likely be more reasonably priced too, in your case, few hundred pounds.
