At what age does a horse chestnet tree produce it's first blossom.?

Question:I have a large garden and planted one about 9 years ago as a sapling now it is about 10ft tall but has never produced blossoms.

Answers:
should start real soon. My filbert trees took around 10 years. Did you know that if you collect a few horse chestnuts and place them in and around the house ie under the couch under beds anywhere you can that they will keep spiders at bay. We found that doing this parctise almost totaly eliminates spiders from the house.
