Whats the difference between an Oxford and a Housewife pillowcase?

Question:

Answers:
A Housewife is a standard pillowcase, where the pillow fills all of the fabric. An Oxford has a border around it.

Oxford is bigger and has a frill.
Oxford has a wide stitched flat hem round the outside. Whereas the house does not.

I love the Oxford pillow case looks much nicer on a bed.
bung simbo the 10 points if you like but heres my answer.

A housewife pillow is one that is fiited to the pillow with seams inside, normally with a flap over end or buttons.

An oxford pillow has the same seamed pocket for the pillow but is extended by about 4 inches to give an extended fabric flap all around. Its seamed internally and at the pillow edge. Its more than a "border" in my opinion, that suggests pattern to me.

Can't be many blokes that know about pillows ! ( we run a B&B )
the oxford has the frills around the edge the other one doesn't
