What are some types of home lamps that don't generate heat while still being bright?

Question:In my room I have two lamps, each has two bulbs of 60 watts each. In the summertime by room bakes from these lights. What I need is something that will light up my room (Two lamps would be good, but a third if necessary). Something that will light up the room, but it would be great if they were clear or white light, as opposed to yellow. Style of the item, or spacing or anything is not that important. Anyone know of any brands that have these, or any website or stores where I can get them? Thanks!

Answers:
Compact florescent's or CF is about the only way to go as all light bulbs give off heat but the CF are must cooler than standard bulbs

you need the strip type of lamps, they sell them at wallmart
everlast bulbs about $5 each .look like screw type
I bought florescent lights as bulb replacements at Lowe's ,they are as bright 75 watt incandescent use a fraction of the power the cost 99 cents each,
