yes depending upon the model you select. btu is one of the best criteria to use. however if you look at energy star and price you can get a better idea. based on the above friedrich seems it might be a good choice also.
Frigidaire is an old old name. It's been very dependable for refrigerators. Going into another cooling item like ac's, depending on how long they would be making the ac's then I'd say yes it is a good brand.
