Pool experts: what size of sand tank?

Question:I need to replace my pool filter tank since it's cracked. It's currently a 250#. I can get my hands on another one but it's a 350#. What effect will this have?
Thanks!

Answers:
You will have greater cleaning ability, less time between sand changes, and greater filter capacity. You might need to get a larger pump depending on the output of your current one though.

Aside from the pump issue you won't see any difference except in your input/output pressures and the pressure you would backwash at. Once you learn the new pressures of the system then you will be fine.
