Where can I donate extra brick and cylinder block that can't return to store -?
Question:I overbought while doing a project. Tried habitat for humanity, and other donation centers, but since there isn't a huge amount they are surprisingly not interested. I'd rather not haul away cause 150 or so bricks and 20 blocks should be able to be used somewhere. Can't return to store cause project did take me a while to do and what I have left is weathered slightly so that the store can't resell.

Try selling on E.Bay, you can buy & sell anything on there.
Put out a sign on your yard and sell them at the price you bought them or a little lower. At this time of the year they'll go.
Its a good amount for someone to build a brick barbeque !
You could build one for yourself, or sell it for that purpose, Don't keep telling people its not enough for anything though, it may be plenty for some projects.
You can offer it to a contractor or small company that builds fireplaces, because they use any bricks for the inside portions of fireplace structures where no one will ever see them, so it doesn't matter if they look weathered (as long as they don't have paint on them or crumble in your hands). They won't get any further weathering in there.
You can offer them to your city's Masonry Training Centre, or vocational school or trade school for students to train with.
Last resort, you can find out what places are asking for "clean landfill" or large paving companies who use such stuff to crush and re-use for sub-surface in road construction.
