Answers:
definetly hastas

I have some beautiful ones that I have only needed to water twice they are outdoors and called love-in-a-mist (blue) and stock (white but can be other colours) I think the love-in-a-mist flowers are prettiest.
perennials: Hosta or Lamb's ear
annuals: shade, impatiens or coleus
sun, moss rose or begonias

I live in the northern USA, but I'm pretty sure these will thrive in your area.
go to the garden center, ask them, cuz it depends on where you live, climate etc.
Cordeline's they are a nice palm like plant they look good and need no work
primroses and heather dont need any looking after at all happy planting
