Can i plant potatoes that started to grow the roots?

Question:I actually have garlic that sprouted, an onion also that has and roots are growing out of potatoes, how can i plant these?

Answers:
Plant the garlic and onion bulbs in the dirt, with the top of the bulb 1-2 inches below the soil. Put the potato in the ground, roots down, 2-3 inches below the soil line. As long as the potato piece has one eye, it will grow. Water and wait.

Dig a hole, plant.

Water adequately.
Cut the potatoes so you have pieces as large as a credit card these pieces must have the eyes on them (roots) plant in mounds. You can plant the onion and garlic also
YES! that is the perfect time to plant them.

Potatoes that have sprouted can be planted. However, if you were to cut these, providing there is an eye on each piece, you should plant with cut side buried and just the eye protruding above ground. The potato is actually the root or corm and new potatoes will grow and the old piece, having fed the plant, will wither.

Both the sprouted onion and garlic will grow but should not be buried...just barely set in the earth. Watering of all plants is essential.
Cut the taters up leaving at least one eye. Garlic I don't know about. Onion, just plant it and see what happens.
