keep grass cut low. But if near woods or anything else they can hide under you have you hands full. Go to local building center or farm supply . I used to buy stuff like a fertilizer that you just spread on property line. worked for me.

Get a Mongoose. Snakes are their #1 food preference. They where imported into Barbados just for that reason. To contain the snake population. Very few snakes are now found in Barbados.
