How to construct a trap to catch house lizards alive?

I would try sticky tape (double sided so it sticks down in place as well as to the aminal's feet). The tricky part is estimating how strong the "sticky" needs to be to hold the lizard, and still be able to remove it without hurting the little guy. Maybe you can use an adhesive that's water-soluable.
House lizards (gecko?) have territories, and if you know where he hangs out, you can place the trap in a likely spot.
House Lizzard?..Thats ghetto =]
lizard catcher.. of course, this requires work on your part.. you make a slip knot out of some fishing line and attach it to a long stick.. when you see the lizard sitting still, you slip it around his neck and when he starts to run, or you pull it up, the slip knot will close and voila, you will have yourself a lizard!!
I put rat (mouse) glue in one end of a long stick and point that stick to a gecko. This works like a "gecko sucker". Be careful not to put the glue at the very end of the stick or it will leave glue at your walls & ceilings.
