How long will my picked apple blossom flowers last?

Question:I just picked a whole bunch of apple blossoms from my crap apple tree. I figured oh well there going to die soon. How long will they last? I put some dish soap (detergent) in and some sugar. So how long will these last? They are all in vases and i have about 10 vases of them. And also, i did the same for some lilacs, what about those? There not completely in bloom yet.

Answers:
About 3-4 days.

Less than 4 days or so...
Using dish soap & sugar won't make your flowers last too much longer.
Here are some proven recipes...Add a crushed up asprin to the water before you add your flowers. Crush up any multi vitamin & add to flower water, a copper penny, a teaspoon of sugar(no dish soap), a pinch of salt or baking soda.

Dump your current water out & start over with luke warm water & ONE of the items listed above & your blossoms will last longer. Be sure to change the water & ingredients every couple of days for best results.
Take care & God bless.
