What do I do with the baby cactus?

Question:I have a cactus that has sprouted a "baby" cactus with roots out of it's side. Should I remove it and plant it or leave it alone?

Answers:
It's your choice. Either way - just enjoy! When in doubt - don't. If you're uncomfortable with severing the babe cactus from the mother plant, wait for a while until your more comfortable to do so. Since the baby has roots, it should be okay to separate it from the mother plant.

get a diaper on it right away....if the pot is big enough leave it alone until it is much bigger, if you let it get bigger it will have a better chance of surviving when you transplant
