Is Kitchenaid considered the "mercedes benz" of kitchen appliances?

I've had 3 different double ovens in this house alone and chose the kitchenaid double convection oven to replace the last oven because it rated the best consistently. It really has been the best oven I've ever owned. I also love the easy way it converts oven temperatures and cooking/baking times from conventional to convection. And having the probe function makes for perfect roasts and turkey everytime.

We have kitchenaid in our house, wouldn't change it for the world. It is a sturdy appliance, built for the long run. We have the stand mixer , the blender and also a stainless steel side by side refrigerator. Money well spent i think !
I think for the money they are about the best you can get. You could probably find better products but frankly, you'd never notice the difference except in the price.

Don't think so. Consumers Reports has published reports on kitchen appliances including dishwashers, stoves, washers, dryers etc. Kitchenaid ranks rather high but not at the very top.
I used their reports and bought a washer, dryer and dish washer, all made by Bosch. Extremely satisfied.
