Are vornado air circulators better than other circulators from other manufacturer?

My preferance is an oscillating fan (aka air circulator) as I firmly believe the oscillating feature circulates more air than does a one direction fan. I think that a one direction Vornado does a better job in circulating air in a room than does an equally priced one direction (non-oscillating) fan. However, in the same price range as a one direction Vornado, an oscillating fan does a better job. You will note that in the Vornado Vortex design fans, not one is an oscillating model. One should wonder why that is? Yet, Vornado does manufacture oscillationg fans, HOWEVER they are not of the Vortex design -- why?
I think that the why is that oscillation designs are better at circulating TOTAL room air than are non-oscillating designs. The advantage, then, of a Vortex design is less moving parts and perhaps more economical to produce. But there is the physical aspect of the vortex itself. If the vortex is moved back and forth, does that reduce its effectiveness? Therein might be an important clue because Vornado has available two fans of the same Manufacturer's Retail Suggested Price (MRSP) of $99.oo. One is a Vortex design and one is a non-Vortex design, oscillating fan. Both are of the same specifications, i.e. diameter, heigth, and speeds. My consensus on this simularity of the two is that the Vornado® Silver Swan Oscillating Fan does NOT need to be a vortex design as is the equally priced Vornado® VF2 Vortex Fan™

Then perhaps the better and more specific question would be, are Vornado -- Vortex-- (non-oscillating) fans better (more efficient) than other non-oscillating fans from other manufacturers? In my opinion, yes.
Then,
are Vornado --Vortex-- (non-oscillating) fans better (more efficient) than oscillating fans of the same general size? In my opinion, no.
