What are my responsibilities to trim a slightly overhanging hedge to my neighbour's fussy specifications?

Question:My neighbour wants me to trim the part of my hedge which overhangs onto his driveway by approximately 3 inches. He wants me to trim it way more often then I feel is necessary and complains about the job I do. Am I responsible for doing it? Am I responsible to do it in such a fussy way (he wants it perfectly squared off and I don't have the upper body strength to hold the hedge trimmer to such perfection - and it looks just fine to me the way it is). I feel he is more than capable of doing it himself (or one of the other 5 strong adults living at his house) and I have given him permission to do it in the fasion that he wants but he insists that I do it his way. Am I being a pushover if I give into his whims or am I being irresponsible if I don't?

Answers:
If it is your bush how you cut it is your business. As long as it is not obstructing his driveway it is fine. Anything additional he wants then he needs to be the one to take care of it. You need to remind your neighbor that the bush is yours and as long as you are happy with the way it looks, then that is all that matters.

It's your property, and you can cut it however you want. All you are responsible for is making sure it's not on his property. Otherwise, he can get over it.
