What is the best way to keep my air conditioning to one room in my house?

Question:I want to keep my air conditioning to a part of my home and not have it spread what is the best way to confine the cool air to a certain room (that has a wide opening, no door)?

Answers:
you could try buying a large pole (like they use to hang shower curtains), and hang a blanket one it. They sell really, really long ones. Or you could rig some kind of ceiling curtain with hooks and whatnot. Also -- and this is a shot in the dark -- you can use fans to blow the cool air into the room, and keep it out of others.

I hung a nylon curtain. It works.
Close vents in other rooms and keep their doors closed.
