What is the best ( but reasonably priced) laminate flooring?

Question:

Answers:
best is such a hard word to quantify - laminate floors don't have a scoreboard so how would one decide upon the factors that make it the best?

Depends on the wear and tear it's going to be subjected to, if you want it splashproof etc...

DIY sheds like B&Q usually have a full selection for cheao and cheerful, to expensive and last forever stuff...
If you want it too last and look good for years - try a real wood engineered flooring. - will cost between 400-600 pounds a room, usually with a guarantee of 25 plus years.
It acts like real wood flooring but is much cheaper.
It will scratch and mark - but that is part of it's beauty. Also - just like the real deal, you can sand and re-varnish if requiered.
If you do not want real wood - try Quick step laminates. They are real good quality and do not break down at the joins like some cheap laminates do.
You need to spend a minimum of £25 packet for something decent - any less in false econmy as it will not stand the test of time.

I am an interior designer and even as a professional have been sucked in at home with trying to do it on the cheap! Needless to say, we now have real wood engineered throughout!
You´ve got ask yourself what you expect from this flooring. Consider aspects like noise when walking on it, how does it echo in the actual room it is laid in, how does it convey noise to the floors and rooms below, is it moisture proof, easy to care, how thick is the finish (that gives the length of the guarantee eg. 15 to 20 years as oppposed to cheap (low quality) with only 5 to 10 years), easy to lay. I didn´t know that one had to think about so much until we decided to lay laminate flooring. Then we had to first decide what was most important. So, it took a while longer to research till we found out what we wanted, and what price we could afford.
We just put in Parador and Im very happy with it
The best we found was at Cosco. Natural bamboo, prefinished and extremely durable. Easy to Install and the best price we couild find per square. Also easy on the environment as it an extremely sustainable product.
go to loews or home depot and see whats on sale and try pergo
Pergo is good and they also do matching skirting boards
I know you want laminate. It looks great and wears forever.
You should do a search on-line and see who is offering what, but try to buy locally since the shipping is a killer.
I don't know where you live but here in Mid-Atlantic USA there is a place called Second Chance. They have a huge warehouse filled with salvaged and rescued hardwood floors. They would be great too!!
