Are the large orange and black spotted beetles I keep finding on my zucchini plants harmful?
Question:The look like large ladybugs but are orange with black spots.

as far as for humans i dont know but for your plants to many of anykind of bug on a plant can be bad i try to keep them off of my plants.
they are a type of lady bird they can give you a nip about as bad as a mosquito not fatal my wife still going on at me

I would say--Yes !! I found several of these beetles on Milk Weed plants in my Butterfly Garden. They were devouring the leaves.
I killed them and sprinkle Sevin around the plants.
