My peppers are flowering but not fruiting?

Question:The middle of the branches seem to be going black and the flowers are falling off with the small shoot still attached as though they have rotted, can anyone tell me why.

dear Dorothy dont worry the black color is fine go to your local feed & seed store and by something that has nitrogen, potash, phospate in a slow release and sprinkle around the plants water good look close and see if their is any aphids or snail holes if so you need a good secticide hope this helps
