Yes it is. Just be careful that you do not get the cactus spines in your fingers. Fold a paper towel a few times and then wrap it around the top of the cactus when you are moving it.
do not put cactus in to big a pot, the root system is very small and they are slow growers, put plant in pot 1 size up, use cactus soil for best results, use thongs to replant or rolled paper
