What plant has round, coin-like seed pods all down its stalk?

Question:Recently, I came across a plant that had these leaves that were thin and round and you could see seeds inside of them. I've looked in several books to find out what it is, but so far have found nothing. Anybody know?

Answers:
It sounds like what I call Money plant, scientific name Lunaria annua. They have silver dollar pods and small purple flowers. Here is a picture: http://www.humeseeds.com/monyplnt.htm...

Silver dollar plant

It is a Silver Dollar plant. You can use these in dried arrangements. Later in the fall you can cut a few stems and bring them in and put in a vase with no water. Place one of the dollars between you palms and gently rub back and forth. This will relase the outer skin and you will see the true silver dollar. The light reflects off of them. They will last all winter.
Enjoy!
